Longtime Trustees honored for their commitment and service to Tall Timbers
By Lane Green, Executive Director
Tall Timbers Trustees Leigh Perkins, Sr., Rosamond (Rozzie) Davis and Ben Watkins have just completed their term limits and were honored at our Annual meeting on April 20, 2010. Leigh and Rozzie have been associated with Tall Timbers for the past 20 years and were members of the Red Hills Conservation Association founded in 1990. Both they and their families have been key supporters of our successful conservation and land planning efforts over the years and we will certainly miss their active involvement as Trustees.
Rozzie will continue to serve as a member of our Land Conservancy Planning Sub-Committee, which she chaired since its founding.
Ben has served faithfully for nine years as a member of our Finance and Investment Committees of both the Tall Timbers Foundation and Tall Timbers Research, Inc., helping guide us successfully through the growth years and the lean years. He also served as the initial chairman of our Grievance Committee of the Board, as we amended and updated Articles and Bylaws and adopted new policies required by the IRS. We look forward to Ben remaining active on our Finance and Investment Committee even though his Board of Trustees term is complete.
