Livingston Place

Livingston Place provides Tall Timbers with the land resources to expand our research and apply our land stewardship findings within the context of a working quail hunting property, while also protecting historic resources and extending our services to landowners in the region.
Tall Timbers acquired Livingston Place as a gift from the Geraldine C.M. Livingston Foundation in December 2013. It is the largest gift of land Tall Timbers has received since its founder, Mr. Henry Beadel, donated his 2400-acre property and endowed the institution in 1958.

The addition of 9,100 acres of land has allowed Tall Timbers to expand its research and conservation efforts in the region, and better provide science-based management to private and public land managers. This gift fits both the original vision of the founders of Tall Timbers, and is aligned with Tall Timbers’ expertise in northern bobwhite quail management, fire ecology, and land conservation.
