Due to low temperatures and high winds, the event has been rescheduled to February 7 from 11:00 to 3:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there.
Head to Tall Timbers for the 2026 Red Hills Fire & Nature Festival, a free event aimed at sharing the multiple benefits of prescribed fire and increasing familiarity and understanding of its role in protecting our communities and the lands we love.
Mark your calendars for the fifth biennial Fire Fest on Saturday, February 7, 2026, hosted at Tall Timbers from 11:00 to 3:00 PM overlooking beautiful Lake Iamonia.
It’s an all-ages good time with live music by Two Foot Level, prescribed fire demonstrations, live wildlife, wagon rides through healthy, fire-maintained forests, kids’ activities, more than 20 exhibits, and food vendors. The “technology barn” will showcase the increasing use of tech in prescribed fire, and tours provide an opportunity to see firsthand how prescribed fire helps create important wildlife habitat.
Fire Festival is made possible by the collaborative effort of more than 25 organizations, united by the central understanding that fire is a critical part of stewarding healthy lands in the Southeast. The event also coincides with the annual Prescribed Fire Awareness Weeks in Florida and Georgia, the two states that account for the most acres treated by prescribed fire in the entire U.S.
If you are new to the idea of prescribed fire, the event offers an easy and fun way to come learn more in whatever way works best for you. If you already know the power of prescribed fire, this is a chance to bring your friends or share the event with neighbors. Sharing information with your community is an important way to support prescribed fire.
