Description
Millpond, a private timber and quail hunting property in Thomasville, Georgia, is seeking a dependable, hardworking Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our grounds, historic gardens, main house, and other property facilities.
Responsibilities
Maintain lawns, grounds, and historic gardens, including mowing, watering, winter overseeding, pruning, weeding, and edging all beds.
Maintain landscaping tools and equipment and report maintenance or irrigation issues.
Split, stack, organize, and maintain the property's firewood inventory.
During quail season, clean horse stalls each morning.
Remove household trash from the main house and transport it to the dumpster each morning.
During quail season, clean, prepare, and reset multiple fireplaces in the main house.
Assist with general property maintenance, cleanup, preparation, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be dependable and punctual, and take pride in maintaining a beautiful property. Groundskeeping, landscaping, farm, estate, equestrian, or property-maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically demanding work, including lifting and splitting firewood and cleaning horse stalls. Candidates should be able to work independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Schedule & Benefits
Typical hours are 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Approximately 2 hours each Saturday and Sunday morning are required during quail season. The position is hourly and overtime eligible.
