About the Position The Grounds & House Assistant is responsible for maintaining landscaped grounds, gardens, guest homes, and outdoor spaces while supporting indoor housekeeping and hospitality operations. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, flexibility, and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for family and guests. Key Responsibilities Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, and landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, pruning, fertilizing, weed control, and seasonal cleanup. Perform daily property inspections and address maintenance needs. Operate and maintain UTVs, mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, irrigation systems, and other groundskeeping equipment safely. Assist with planting, harvesting, and preserving produce from on-site vegetable gardens. Chop, split, and stock firewood for guest homes during the winter. Prepare and maintain the main house and guest homes, including cleaning, laundry, bedmaking, and general housekeeping. Support food preparation, meal service, and guest hospitality as needed. Assist with seasonal décor, special events, and other property projects. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education
High school
Other Qualifications
Essential: A high school diploma or equivalent. Four (4) or more years of directly related groundskeeping, landscaping, hospitality, or property maintenance experience. Working knowledge of turfgrass management, ornamental horticulture, pruning techniques, fertilization, weed and pest management, and landscape best management practices. Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment and tools. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail. This position requires operation of vehicles, and you’ll need to possess a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Your driving record will need to meet the standards and requirements of the Company and the Company’s insurance provider. You’ll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.
