Position Summary
The Tractor Operator is an entry-level role supporting daily plantation operations, land management, and occasional guest services. This position works closely with the Property Manager and plays a key role in maintaining equipment, land, livestock, and wildlife habitat.
Key Responsibilities
Operate tractors and farm equipment for mowing, land maintenance, and debris removal
Assist with planting, harrowing, spraying, and prescribed burning support
Maintain roads, feed trails, woods, and burn piles
Operate ATVs/UTVs across varied terrain
Support daily tasks including feeding animals, equipment upkeep, and errands
Safely handle firearms and assist during hunting activities
Ride horses during quail hunts as required
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience with heavy equipment, ATVs/UTVs, horses, and firearms required
Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Physically able to perform demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions

Minimum Education
High school
Other Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required; one to three months of related experience and/or training is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus; proficiency with ATVs and UTVs is highly desirable.
Firearms experience is required, with the ability to handle shotguns and rifles safely and confidently.
Must have experience with horses and be able to ride horses during quail hunts.
Ability to work long hours when needed, including weekends and holidays.
This position requires the operation of vehicles, and you’ll need to possess a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Your driving record will need to meet the standards and requirements of the Company and the Company’s insurance provider.
You’ll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.
