Southwest Georgia Prescribed Burn Assocation

The purpose of the Southwest Georgia Prescribed Burn Association is to promote the use of prescribed fire by encouraging landowner collaboration and supplying the training, education, and resources needed to utilize burning as a land management tool.

The Southwest Georgia PBA is a partnership including Tall Timbers, Golden Triangle RC&D, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Quail Forever, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Georgia Forestry Commission. We engage in a variety of education, outreach, and prescribed fire activities.

We have two forms of membership, regular and honorary. Any Georgia landowners in our service area are eligible for regular membership. Honorary members can participate in PBA activities without the land ownership requirement. Honorary members do not pay dues and do not vote on PBA decisions.
