SUMMARY:Southwest Georgia PBA Economics of Prescribed Fire Event
DESCRIPTION:The Southwest Georgia PBA would like to formally invite you to Tall Timbers on November 5th for an educational event geared to give you more insight into the economics of prescribed fire.. Tall Timbers\, Golden Triangle RC&D\, and the rest of our partners want to help each and every one of you know the economic impact fire has on your properties. To do this\, we will be presenting on: \n\nLand Expectation Value (LEV) comparisons for stands with and without fire\n• Wood quality and longleaf study\n• Long-term volume study from Escambia\n• Economic calculations from quail plantations\n• Economic study of timber bid quotes of burned vs. unburned\n• Addressing char and trees sold for pulp\n• Economics of real estate value of burned versus unburned property\n\nMuch of this presentation will use the most recent data possible and will help you make individual educated decisions for property management. \nA link to RSVP for this event can be found here. We ask for a $20 dollar donation to the Private Lands Fire Initiative to attend the event. 100% of those proceeds will be used to assist the mission of fire application in AL\, FL\, and GA. If you have questions about this\, please feel free to contact me @ 9202901995. \nIf you live in Southwest Georgia\, are not yet a member of the SWGA PBA\, and would like to join\, please feel free to sign up for membership here. \nAs a reminder\, there are two forms of memberships in the Southwest Georgia PBA; regular members and honorary members. Regular members are any Georgia landowner with goals and objectives similar to the PBA\, who want help with burning their properties\, pay dues\, and have voting rights. Honorary members are people who can contribute and participate in PBA activities but do not pay dues or have voting rights. As we are getting closer to the end of the year\, it is important to note that the calendar year for the PBA runs from January to December. Membership dues will be collected in January 2023\, and there is no need to pay dues until that time.
