Suncoast Connector
Toll Road Threatens
Red Hills & Big Bend

Ask Jefferson County Commissioners

to pass a resolution requesting the Florida Legislature consider removing Jefferson County as the terminus county for the Suncoast Connector to allow FDOT to explore all options.
On November 21, 2019 the Jefferson County Commission will consider two resolutions. One resolution supports having the Suncoast Connector Toll Road run through Jefferson County, the other asks the Florida Legislature to consider removing Jefferson County as the terminus county for the Suncoast Connector to allow FDOT to explore all options. These options may include routes with less environmentally sensitive lands and that may be more economically feasible.

Join us in asking the Jefferson County Commissioners to PASS a resolution asking the Florida Legislature to remove Jefferson County as the only option for the terminus of the Suncoast Connector Toll Road. While this does fall short of the Tall Timbers position to oppose construction of the proposed Suncoast Connector toll road through Jefferson County, it is a step in the right direction. It also helps avoid a County Resolution directly supporting the Toll Road in Jefferson County.
